Call for participations to meetings
In order to participate to the meetings you must follow the instructions in the following page:
Short-Term Scientific Missions
The aim of the Short-Term Scientific Missions (STSM) is "to contribute to the scientific objectives of a COST Action" (COST Vademecum, 2.3). Therefore the STSM of our action will be reserved for
1) programmers who develop the Hyper infrastructure (the actual version or the future version written in Ruby on Rails) or useful tools for the HyperFederation and for
2) scholars who want to foster a Scholarly Community that uses Hyper or to set up a new Community, again, using Hyper.
STSM applications with different objectives unfortunately cannot be taken into consideration.
Applicants write a short proposal and apply, using the online registration tool (http://www.cost.esf.org/stsm). Apart from the proposal (about 250 words) and a short CV, the application has to indicate a budget request, the planned dates and length of stay, and a few other details (see COST Vademecum). The length is minimum 5 working days, max 3 months; the total amount per person should not exceed 2500 EUR.
As soon as all the information is entered on-line and submitted, the registration tool automatically issues a formal STSM application, which the applicant has to send to the host of the STSM and to the coordinator (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please read the COST Vademecum carefully. The procedure (registration & approval) has to be completed at least 4 weeks before the mission starts.
The deadline for the first call is 15 March 2008.
The deadline for the second call is 7 April 2008.
