A’ja and Bam have been together since 2021, though they only publicly acknowledged their relationship in 2024. Prior to their announcement, fans speculated about their romance but had no official confirmation.

In a viral clip leading up to the Miami Heat versus Boston Celtics game, A’ja Wilson was seen sporting Heat gear when she was approached by interviewer Maddy Sells, who hosts an interview series called WAGTalk, focusing on the partners of professional athletes. Maddy kicked off the quiz with a playful challenge: "How well do you know your NBA boyfriend? Are you ready?"
